      The race is open to all athletes, sport federation members and non members, of Mexican Athletics Federation or foreign nationality.

    • Can I transfer my entry to someone else? ?
      Under no circumstance are you permitted to pass your entry onto someone else.
      We cannot process name changes.
    • What is the minimum age to participate ?
      Participants in the Cancun Half Marathon must be at least 18 years of age as of March 02, 2025 in order to participate. 16 yo for the distance of 10k.
    • How can I check my registration?
      In the website - Starting List - entering your criteria of search.
  • Something came up and I can no longer participate. Can I get a refund?
    We're sorry, but we are unable to offer refunds. As stated on the application, race fees are not refundable, nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, fees are used for event expenses and cannot be returned.
  • Race Number and Shirt Pick-Up
    • How do I pick up my race number?
      On presentation of an identification card and the official confirmation letter, bibs are to be collected from Running Expo.
      No bibs will be sent by post; no bibs will be issued on March 3, 2024.

    • I can't make it to number pick-up. How can I get my race number?
      If you can't make it to number pick-up, you can send someone to pick it up for you. A photocopy of some form of I.D. (valid forms of ID include, driver's license, passport, etc.), for the absent runner along with a note granting permission for the race number and packet to be picked up must be presented in order to have someone else pick up your number. There will be no number pick-up on event morning..
    • Is there race day race/packet pick-up/race switching?
      NO !.
  • Course
    • Is water available on the course?
      Yes, water stations are located approximately every 2,5Km along the Cancun Half Marathon course. Any other drinks are yet to be confirmed.
    • Is there a course time limit?
      The Cancun Half Marathon has a 3:30 hour time limit, and the course will reopen to traffic once the runners doing a 3:30 pace have passed.
    • Is the course closed to traffic?
      No, runner’s lanes will be separated from traffic lanes by cones—please stay inside the cones at all times. To ensure your safety, volunteers and police officers will monitor the course.
    • What if I need to quit part way through the race?
      If you feel that you will be unable to complete the half marathon and need to drop out, move to the right side of the road and look for a course volunteer for assistance.
    • Are there any items that aren't allowed on the course? 
      For the safety of all Cancun Half Marathon participants, no pets or wheeled conveyances including bikes, strollers, baby joggers or in-line skates are permitted on the course. As it’s not a closed course, and so you can hear directions given by race officials, please do not wear headphones during the race.
  • Gear Check
    • Will there be a place where I can check my gear?
      Yes, there is a free gear location between the starting and the finishing areas. You can leave a bag and take it back after the race, by presenting your bib number.
      Please don’t leave valuable or irreplaceable items in your bag, and avoid bringing items that may easily fall out of your bag. The Cancun Half Marathon Organisation will be not responsible for lost or missing bags.
